Business at the front, party at the back.
Since it apparently took a very long time for production of the Tesla Cyber Truck to get going, one Tesla fan decided to take matters into his own hands. He may not have built a custom electric truck, but the driver created something even cooler and more unique to show that they could. So what exactly drives someone to chop up their Tesla and turn it into a Ute?
Check out the latest Motorious Podcast here.
Well, the Ute is a very popular body style among enthusiasts looking for something unique. Some notable exceptions are the Chevy El Camino, Ford Ranchero and Holden Commodore. All of these cars have their own following that supports them, somehow making them something that enthusiasts everywhere can enjoy. However, these vehicles have largely disappeared from popularity among automakers, either because people weren’t buying enough or because it wasn’t profitable for the company.
Either way, this guy clearly loves getting behind the wheel of a car with all the perks of a pickup. In an Instagram post featuring the Ute’s bed, the builder describes a lot of custom work and TIG welding to make it all possible. All things considered, the Tesla will be able to carry quite a bit of material without putting undue stress on the frame or engines. Photos of the car show it all complete with two decent-sized washing machines in the back, along with other cool things you might find in the back of a regular truck. Construction seems to be going quite well so far and hopefully this incredible dream for car enthusiasts will come true soon.
