AN IMPASSIONED CRY FOR PEACE AND UNITY: AN OPEN LETTER TO UKWUANI, NDOKWA WEST, AND NDOKWA EAST LEADERS

CALL Mr. CHUKWUEMEKA VICTOR KENNETH AND BARR. UFELI TO ORDER IMMEDIATELY, STOP THE SELF-DESTRUCTIVE DISTRACTIONS AGAINST RT. HON. NNAMDI EZECHI

1802504
"An elder cannot sit at home and watch a tethered goat suffer in agonizing labour." - That’s our Ancient Ndokwa Proverb.

Today, our elders are watching in silence while a thread of self-destruction slowly chokes the bright future of the Ndokwa land.

In May 2026, the All Progressives Congress (APC) held a peaceful primary election. The good people of Ndokwa spoke with one clear, resounding voice: Rt. Hon. Nnamdi Ezechi earned their mandate to serve a second term. It was a contest defined by unity,  a near-consensus mandate. Throughout the consultation period, Chukwuemeka Victor Kenneth, a councilor representing DSIEC Ward 19 in Ezionum, Ukwuani Local Government who is currently under suspension by his colleagues over alleged contravention of the council’s code of conduct was conspicuously absent, barely connecting with the leaders or the grassroots. On May 16, election day, his agents were barely seen in the primary venues across our land.

Yet, immediately after the democratic process concluded, we were stunned to learn that Chukwuemeka Victor Kenneth, backed by Barr. Ufeli, dragged the people’s mandate to court.

Hon. Nnamdi Ezechi obeyed the law, defended the mandate given to him by the people, and won the case cleanly at the Federal High Court.

Instead of accepting the court's verdict, shaking hands in brotherhood, and putting Ndokwa first, news reached us today that Barr. Ufeli and his client have filed an appeal.

This endless litigation is not just a legal battle between politicians,  it is a direct assault on the progress, wellbeing, and future of every child, woman, and youth in Ndokwa land.

1. Every single hour Hon. Nnamdi Ezechi spends sitting in courtrooms or consulting legal teams is an hour stolen from fighting for our roads, our schools, our hospitals, and our youth in the halls of power.

2. The millions of Naira being drained to retain Senior Advocates and navigate unending legal technicalities are resources that may be pulled directly from Ezechi’s charity foundation. These are funds meant to pay school fees for orphans, food for widows, medical bills for the elderly, and empowerment grants for struggling youths. Every appeal filed strips warmth and hope from the poorest among us.

3. A Tragic Pattern Targeting Ndokwa East History is repeating itself, and we must ask the tough questions: Why are representatives from Ndokwa East LGA constantly targeted with endless legal warfare? We saw this exact playbook used to derail Rt. Hon. Olisa Imegwu during his time in the House of Representatives. Ukwuani and Ndokwa West have produced lawmakers who served without this relentless sabotage. Why must Ndokwa East representatives be crippled by internal warfare?

As an officially appointed Justice of the Peace (JP) in Delta State, part of my sacred oath is to step into conflict, build bridges, and pursue Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) before our house burns to the ground.

To our Traditional Rulers, Political Elders, and Stakeholders across Ukwuani, Ndokwa West, and Ndokwa East: Rise up today! Speak with one decisive voice. Call Chukwuemeka Victor and Barr. Ufeli to order. Prevail upon them to withdraw this appeal immediately and sit at the table of brotherhood with Hon. Nnamdi Ezechi to build the Ndokwa nation of our dreams.

To Barr. Ufeli: We respect your profession and understand you are representing a client. But true legal wisdom knows when to counsel a client toward peace. Not every brief must be pursued to the bitter end, especially when it threatens to tear apart brotherly ties, starve vulnerable citizens of aid, and rob an entire ethnic nationality of effective governance.

A STITCH IN TIME SAVES NINE
No land can prosper when consumed by civil strife. Development thrives only where peace reigns supreme.

I call on every proud son and daughter of Ndokwa land, at home and in the diaspora: Let us stand together today to end this destructive litigation! Let us protect our collective future before ambition fractures our land beyond repair.

May peace, wisdom, and unity reign supreme in Ndokwa land!

Signed,
Lucky Dikadi, JP Writing from Kwale, Delta State
